Lessons the Teacher Never Taught You (#6957)

I love language: metaphor, simile, meter, rhyme, cadence, and especially words like mimesis, sesquipedalian and my very favorite, callipygian. So many arcane and abstruse gems that I often forget, yet smile each time I re-learn one.

But the word IRONY!

Has there ever been a better example than the buffalo head nickel, minted by the United States government from 1913 to 1938, stamped on its face with the single word LIBERTY?

Such a beautiful numismatic piece (not to be confused with its homonym "peace").
